Sr. Staff Scientist/Engineer needed to join team in Fremont, CA. Looking for a highly technical professional who has a desire to work with cutting edge technologies within the medical imaging industry.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
Developing software algorithms for medical imaging systems. This will include hands on designing image algorithms for registration, segmentation, analysis, and visualization of medical image data.
Implementation, integration and verification of algorithm modules with clinical data.
Validation of algorithm modules subject to FDA requirements.
Working with clinical research scientists to realize new application concepts and to implement the clinical research results into medical instruments.
Analysis of clinical data, mathematical modeling of OCT data from eye to compute ocular parameters.
Requirements:
-Ph.D. in computer science, EE, or Biomedical engineering
-Minimum 4 years of experience in related image algorithm and software development.
-Strong capability on mathematics, imaging processing, and problem-solving.
-Strong C++ programming skill and familiar with MFC environment.
-Strong team player with good communication/documentation skill and has passion to work on medical data.
-Adaptive and flexibility working attitude with willing to optimize the work in a dynamic environment.
-Knowledge of ocular image analysis especially in cornea is highly preferred.
-Knowledge of medical imaging e.g. Optical Coherence Tomography, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, and other optical image modalities is preferred.
Knowledge of algorithm optimization, high performance computing, and statistics is preferred.
